British Journal of Photography British Journal of Photography Photography

With a founding date of 1854, BJP is the world’s oldest and longest running photography magazine. But age has not caused it to stagnate—as they say, it's ‘not your usual game of picture karaoke.’ This edition, themed ‘Ones to Watch,’ aims to platform traditionally marginalised voices in photography, exploring how they are ‘using photography in ways that suggest radically different ways of engaging with it and the world.’ Inside, Maen Hammad challenges preconceived notions of Palestine, documenting skateboarding in the West Bank; former immigration lawyer Tudor Rhys Etchells lets his camera do the talking; Daisy Woodward profiles the politically charged art of Adam Broomberg; and Raquel Villar-Peréz speaks with Editorial RM editor-in-chief and creative director, Ramón Reverté, on the publishing house’s 25th anniversary.
