The second issue of this photo/graphic project by Marco Belardinelli, an Italian graphic designer and photographer based in London, again brings together design, personal history, travel, photographic research, architecture, the natural landscape and more. This one is a creative exploration of the everyday graphics of Tokyo and its surroundings, with a particular focus on the dense network of visual information in the capital’s transport system. It both records and responds to the research material, which includes subway maps, pedestrian-level signage, billboards, bus and metro stops, airport signage, tactile paving, and multilingual instructional graphics. blackskew.com
